Revised Curriculum Manual #5271
The PAF Curriculum Manual has recently been revised to make it easier to use and to make the program more effective than ever before. Revisions
to the manual include:
Sentences for Spelling Dictations
A variety of sentences provided for every level,
with many containing content information. An atlas has a lot of maps. (Level 81) The President of the United States serves
for four years. (Level 177)
Additional Teaching Instructions More detailed instructions for giving divided dictations, introducing homonyms and teaching comprehension strategies.
Expanded Proficiency Tests Tests contain sections for assessing decoding, word recognition and oral reading.
Reinforcement Sheets Activities for teaching and practicing skills such as syllabication and the application of spelling rules.
